Guinness & Flowers

Remember how it's been a rough week at work and how the Mr. just finished his first year of Optometry school and how we've been married for 10 months?  Well, the Mr. decided to celebrate by whisking me off for a romantic weekend in downtown Portland!

He took me to the oldest restaurant in town (133 years old!) followed by a little shopping, some Guinness (a first for us both!), and a night at a charming hotel.

At the Oldest Restaurant in Portland
On Saturday morning, we ventured out to Portland's Saturday Market for the first time since we moved here.  It was about time!  We enjoyed an amazing Gyro for lunch, listened to funky music, and ran into one of our friends who was selling his handmade pottery. Awesome.  And we found some rad fresh flowers...

It was so nice to spend this time together... I'm thankful for this thoughtful man!  Sad to see this weekend come to an end...

Today we took a trip to the beach with one of my favorite people... but more on that later.  :)

Happy Sunday!

  1. Sounds like my kind of weekend! And I've never even heard of Hubers - we'll have to check it out!

Just Us

We will also remind you that this is just a BLOG…just the highlights. We don’t sit around happily smiling for pictures all day long. Our life is far from perfect: we are imperfect people serving a perfect God. We do strive to glorify God, but we fail miserably and find comfort in knowing that our debts have been paid and we have been set free.
